Private App: Creating a Google Developer Account

Before your app can go live in the Google Play Store, you need to create a Google Developer account. This step-by-step guide will assist you in setting up your Google Developer Account, ensuring you're fully prepared to publish your private app efficiently. Let's get started!

Note: 
To create a Google Developer account you also need to join the Google Developer Program. This is a $25 USD one-time fee that you pay separately to Google.

You will also be required to have a D-U-N-S number in order to create an account (its free).

Step 1 | Sign Up for a Google Developer Account

1. Visit the Google Play Console at Google Play Console.
2. Click on the "Sign up" button and log in with your Google account or create a new Google account if you don't already have one. 
3. Account type: Create an Organization 
   
   
   
4. Accept the Google Play Developer distribution agreement.
    

Step 2 | Pay the Registration Fee

The next step is to enroll in Google Developer Program and register your developer account. This step is done on the Google Play Console. At this stage, you also pay the fee.

1. The registration fee is a one-time payment of $25.
2. Provide the necessary payment information to complete the registration.

Step 3 | Complete Your Account Details

1. Fill out your developer profile, including your developer name, email address, and website (if applicable).
2. Verify your email address by following the instructions sent to your email.  
   
   

Step 4 | Invite Us to Your Developer Account

There are is one permission Playbypoint needs before we can submit your app on your behalf. The permission will grant us access to your Google Developer account.

1. Once your account is set up, go to the "Users and permissions" section in the Play Console.
2. Click on "Invite new user" and enter our email address:
   • edwardnoel019@gmail.com (Noel M) 
   • Alexapadel2024@gmail.com (Alexa C.)
3. Assign us the appropriate permissions (e.g., Admin or Release Manager) to manage the app on your behalf.

Step 5 | Verify Your Identify & Website

 Note: Ensure you verify your website after creating your account to confirm your identity.

Step 6 | Fill Out Form & Wait for approval

Once you have completed all these steps please fill out THIS FORM. This is essential so our team can begin the production of the app. 

Once you've given us all the required info, Playbypoint submits your app on your behalf and we wait for Googles Approval.
