How to setup a membership trial period for a new or existing membership plan.
Welcome to another tutorial on how to most efficiently use our platform. In this tutorial, we'll tap into the basics of setting up membership trial periods from the manager's side. Now, let's get started.
- Sign in to your Playbypoint account.
- Go to Manage Bookings.
- From the menu sidebar, make your way to Memberships.
- Once inside, you can access either an existing membership or create a new membership plan. To create a new membership plan, go to Manage.
- Now, go to the New Membership Plan button.
- Inside, you'll find all the membership plan settings. However, in this tutorial, we're mainly touching base with what you need to look out for when setting up a membership trial inside a plan.
As you scroll down through the settings, you want to find yourself in the Prices section of the membership plan settings.
Billing Cycle Renewal Length is where you'll set up the frequency value in which a member is billed for the membership plan. For example, are club members in this plan going to get charged every 3 weeks, every 2 months, or every year?
Billing Cycle is where you designate if the Billing Cycle Renewal Length is on a daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly basis.
Trial Days are where you set up the duration in which a potential long-term member can have the benefits of the membership plan.
Trial Price is the lowered or discounted price you can assign for the trial period before a potential member becomes a long-term member.
Ensure you check the automatic renew box if you'd like to automatically renew membership and start billing the regular membership plan price.
Keep in mind that these settings can be tailored to specific affiliations so you can set them up for non-members only or any other type of affiliation.
Lastly, remember to hit the Save button when you're done!
